Water Damage Ceiling

A condo owner in Burbank, CA called SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale when a water heater bursts in the unit above her and the water damages her kitchen. Upon initial inspection our team found the drywall ceiling and walls were affected and after inspecting inside the ceiling found mold growth. SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale removed the dishwasher to check behind the appliance and found mold growth again. The flooring and cabinetry was affected as well. SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale set up equipment to begin the drying process and set up containment where mold was found. We covered the cabinets and island with protective plastic and removed the affected drywall and insulation. We applied anti-microbial solution and HEPA vacuumed the entire kitchen. Next, SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale removed the flooring and detail cleaned the sub floor. This kitchen was now ready for a contractor to come out and finish the job!
