Dishwasher water damage
A homeowner in Thousand Oaks, CA called SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale when he noticed his leaking dishwasher had caused damage to the flooring in his kitchen. Upon inspection, our team found that the leak had damaged the drywall wall, lower cabinets, toe kicks and laminate flooring. SERVPRO of Crescenta Valley/East Glendale set up a dehumidifier to stabilize the environment and removed the laminate flooring and toe kicks. We HEPA vacuumed the area and applied an antimicrobial solution to the remaining materials. After finding that there was asbestos present, we called in an abatement team to remove the damaged drywall behind the dishwasher. The homeowner was thrilled the restoration process was so simple and completed so quickly!
